Nest Academy aspires to turn ambitions into reality. A large number of our students come from various academic discipline backgrounds. Some are looking to start a new career, and others are looking to combine their interests or advance in their current occupation. Our students strive for successful careers in a wide variety of fields, including hospitality management, culinary arts, food and beverage services and property up-keeping.

Our campus is located in No.11, First Lane, Ratmalana, Sri Lanka. 15 km away from Colombo.

The campus provides excellent teaching, learning and research facilities including well equipped classrooms, dedicated study areas, a computer laboratory ,as well as language and training rooms. Our academy is headed by a veteran hotelier who was the general manager of a five star hotel chain in Sri Lanka and our academic staffs consist of professionals from the hotel industry with many years of experience.

Nest Academy is a registered institute of Tertiary Vocational and Educational Commission (TVEC) and conducts National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) level courses. It is also registered with City & Guilds (UK) to offer international qualification.

Academy also provides counselling facilities to the students with the help of qualified students counsellor.

The Academy is provided with a well equipped kitchen with thirty work stations and three bakery units with all modern equipment. The training restaurant with 20 seating capacity to train all table etiquette and the dining hall with 150 seating capacity allows students to obtain hands on experience in food and beverage services.

A barista training area is available to students to be trained in barista skills. The Academy also has a modern IT lab with internet facilities and a sample guest room for training purposes. All classrooms are air conditioned and provided with multi media projectors and comfortable seating arrangements.

A main auditorium with 100 seating capacity and a mini auditorium with 35 seating capacity are generally hired for functions which allows students to gain real world experience in preparation and serving of food to enhance their skills. The library of the academy offers a range of relevant books and magazines pertaining to hospitality management which gives an opportunity for students to broad-base their knowledge.

Students who are a part of our academy come from various parts of Sri lanka and are therefore given accommodation within the vicinity of the campus providing more comfort and convenience to them. A full time qualified warden has been assigned to manage the hostel who will organize team building and recreational activities to the students. Students are also provided with meals at a subsidized price.

Nest Academy associates with reputed star class hotels such as Cinnamon Grand, Mount Lavinia Hotel, Shangri La, Jetwing Group, Galle Face Hotel, Kingsbury and Taj Hotel as well as the international restaurant chains such as McDonald’s, KFC, Pizza Hut, Domino’s, Pasta Mania and Subway in order facilitate a professional experience to our students on completion of their courses.

The academy provides part time job opportunities for the students who wish to obtain work experience whilst attending the course. On completion of the internship we facilitate students to get local and foreign employment through our network of reputed recruiting agencies, hotels and restaurants.
