Nest Academy is a proud initiative of the Fausz Foundation for Goodness (FFG), established to continue the philanthropic vision of Mr. S.L.M. Fausz. The foundation was created as a way to give back to the nation, recognizing the opportunities and benets received over the years. Conceptualized by the founder and his family, FFG is dedicated to expanding and professionalizing its charitable e‑orts for the betterment of SriLankan society.

Among its key projects, the foundation actively champions poverty alleviation through various charitable initiatives. Nest Academy operates under the governance of the FFG board of directors, which includes both family members and independent professionals, ensuring a balanced and progressive approach.

At Nest Academy, we are driven by a deep passion for culinary arts and hospitality management. Our mission is to provide high-quality, hands-on training through the dedicated expertise of our chefs and faculty members. We foster a learning environment rooted in our philosophy: Inspire, Teach, and Connect.

We are committed to helping students achieve their fullest potential by equipping them with the knowledge and practical skills needed to thrive in the industry. Beyond technical training, we focus on enhancing employability by o‑ering lessons in communication, personality development, and interview preparation, facilitated by guest faculty and industry experts. History of Nest Academy

Nest Academy was established as a forward-thinking initiative under the Fausz Foundation for Goodness (FFG) a charitable organization committed to community upliftment and poverty alleviation. The foundation was created to carry forward the legacy of Mr. S.L.M. Fausz, whose lifelong mission was to give back to the community that supported him. What began as an act of gratitude has now evolved into a structured effort to empower lives through education, skills development, and opportunity.

Driven by the vision of its founder and his family, FFG set out to tackle one of Sri Lanka’s growing concerns youth unemployment. Nest Academy was born as a response to this challenge, with the goal of equipping school leavers with career-ready skills in hospitality and tourism, two of the most dynamic and opportunity-rich industries in the country.

Today, Nest Academy operates under the administration of FFG’s Board of Directors, which includes both family members and independent professionals, ensuring transparency, sustainability, and a strong social focus. The institution stands as a testament to the foundation's belief that education is the most powerful tool to drive long-term change and uplift communities. From its humble beginnings to becoming a recognized hospitality management school in Sri Lanka, Nest Academy continues to stay rooted in its purpose: to inspire, empower, and create pathways for a better future.

Chairman’s Message

Reflecting on our journey, I am filled with pride and gratitude. What once seemed like a distant dream is now a remarkable reality—Nest Academy. This achievement is a testament to vision, hard work, and collective effort of many.

Having benefited from the opportunities my beloved motherland has given me, I feel a deep sense of responsibility to give back. My goal is not just to build an institution but to empower Sri Lankan youth to become self-reliant, determined, and valuable contributors to society.

Sri Lanka, renowned for its warm hospitality and thriving tourism industry, holds immense potential for our youth. The Hospitality sector offer boundless opportunities, both locally and internationally often, in a short period. This is why Nest Academy holds a special place in my heart—it directly transforms lives and builds a brighter future for our nation.

Our vision extends beyond the present. We are committed to growing into a degree-awarding institution, shaping the leaders of tomorrow.

I extend my deepest gratitude to my fellow directors—Mr. Y.I.M. Hameez, Mr. Fazal Fausz, Ms. Shehana Fausz, Faizal Fausz, Mr. Faris Fausz, Mr. M.R.M. Zarook, and Mr. M.S.M. Shamil—whose unwavering support has been the foundation of this academy. My heartfelt thanks also go to our Principal and dedicated team, whose commitment has been instrumental in bringing our vision to life.
